Yod Fah has tender stalks taste like a cross between asparagus and broccoli. Very easy-to-grow broccoli-like plant from China, Vietnam.

This variety has crisp stems and shoots, best in stir fries and steamed vegetable dishes. The leaves taste similar to kale but better, buttery soft and nutty in flavor.

In our Zone 8A, we often sow Yod Fah seeds indoor from 2-4 weeks before the last frost date than transplant into the garden when the temperature is more than 55F. This early cut and come again Chinese kale is a great substitute for traditional broccoli.
